The Last of Us Part 2 postponed to a later date

The Last of Us Part 2 postponed to a later date

Unfortunately it happened: The Last of Us Part 2 has been postponed to a later date. Sony has chosen to postpone it, along with Marvel's Iron Man VR, to avoid releasing the game during this crisis. In fact, the goal is to give users an experience worthy of these games, and according to Sony this crisis cannot allow that.

Update: SIE has made the difficult decision to delay the launch of The Last of Us Part II and Marvel's Iron Man VR until further notice. Logistically, the global crisis is preventing us from providing the launch experience our players deserve.

The announcement came a short while ago via the official PlayStation Twitter account, which was later confirmed by a message from Naughty Dog.

The Last of Us Part 2 postponed to a later date

As you have seen, the release date of The Last of Us Part 2 has been postponed. We are sure that this news will be disappointing for you as well as for us. We want to explain a few things to you.

The good news is that we are almost finished developing The Last of Us Part 2. We are fixing the latest bugs.

However, even if we finish the game, we are faced with a problem beyond our control, we cannot launch the game the way we want. We want everyone to be able to play The Last of Us Part 2 at the same time, ensuring that we give the best experience possible. This means postponing the game until there are no more logistical problems.

We are depressed about this decision but we believe it is the best thing for all our players to do. Hopefully this won't be a long delay, we will update you as soon as we have more information.

We wish you all, your families and friends the best in health. Thanks for being a big fan and for your support.

    Be safe!
