Parasite Eve has been a franchise developed since then Squaresoft towards the end of the 90s which found great luck together with other chapters of other brands such as Alone in the Dark, Silent Hill and Resident Evil, all which had great prominence at the time of the first PlayStation.
With a timid return in 2010 with Parasite Eve: The 3rd Birthday, a chapter released on PlayStation Portable and cataloged as a simple spin-off, of Parasite Eve have been totally lost, despite having always collected good feedback from critics and audiences. Now Square Enix has just renewed the brand for the European market and a few hours from E3 2019 the question arises legitimate: will Square Enix make an important announcement regarding the franchise, perhaps with a remake? A direct sequel is highly unlikely given that just twenty years have passed since the second chapter and too many generations have never had the opportunity to get close to the franchise.
It should also be noted that brand renewal does not always mean an official confirmation of something in production, many times a brand is confirmed in order not to leave the exploitation rights to others, or to transfer the franchise to other types of uses, such as pinball machines or even for productions destined for the mobile market. In short, we just have to wait impatiently for Square Enix's E3 conference.
