In the past few hours, the development studio Frogswares has officially announced its next project: it is Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One a new chapter of the videogame series dedicated to the inimitable investigator born from the pen of Arthur Conan Doyle. Chapter One won't be a sequel to The Sinking City, but a prequel that will narrate events prior to all the titles already released, namely Crimes and Punishment and The Devil's Daughter.
A trailer, viewable on the cover of this article, which briefly shows what the setting will be and above all the plot of this new title. To provide some more information is the page dedicated to the game on the official website of the development team, which presents a synopsis of the plot:
Set in the early years of the detective's career, in the game you play the role of a 21-year-old Sherlock Holmes who returns to his hometown in the Mediterranean after the death of his mother. After regaining contact with the island, his family's manor and enigmatic companion Jonathan, he discovers that the city has some secrets, and he will use his budding but still brilliant investigative skills to uncover an ongoing conspiracy.
Sherlock Holmes: Chapter One, as reported, will arrive on PC, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series X during the 2021.
