A few months ago we learned of the news concerning the future release in a totally free form of one of the most loved and played competitive titles of recent years. We are talking about Rocket League, a game that has been able to perfectly mix the beloved sport of football but, instead of sportsmen, has placed flaming radio-controlled cars that take the big ball into the arena. The target? of course it is to send the ball into the net.
Finally the title developed by Psyonix Studios will become free on all gaming platforms in which it is already possible to play it: PlayStation 4, PC, Xbox One and Nintendo Switch, starting from the 23 September 2020. The announcement was made along with a beautiful cinematic trailer that you can see at the top of the article as always. Nothing at the moment regarding the possibility of seeing the game also on next generation consoles such as PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S, with the necessary technical improvements and more, from here to the short term. It will most likely be released as a free-to-play title for next generation consoles as well.
In addition to the full title, other content such as it will also be made free Starter Pack Endo and Jager each containing their own car, exclusive skins and game coins to spend within the title. Rocket League began its climb to success following the distribution that took place "free" for subscribers to the PlayStation Plus service. Just as it is happening in this period with the new game of the moment, Fall Guys, the work by Psyonix Studios has become famous and known to an even wider audience thanks to the distribution on PlayStation 4. At the following link you can read the official press release of Sony, released on its PlayStation Blog, where it announces the imminent arrival of the title on your console that will no longer require an active subscription to the PlayStation Plus to be able to play it.
