Almost two months have passed since the day Psyonix Studios announced that Rocket League, the fast-paced car soccer game, will become a free-to-play title and will then be downloadable for free by all players. For those unfamiliar with it, this is a game that, as just mentioned, combines football with running games. Divided into two teams, the players will have to try to make the most of goal with his own car in the opponents' goal, while trying to suffer as little as possible. Since the day of the announcement, however, no further information has been provided regarding the day on which the title will cease to be completely paid and for this reason there have been many more or less reliable rumors that attempted to solve this mystery.
After weeks of silence, however, it would seem that something is moving in this direction, thanks to Nintendo. In fact, the American division of the Kyoto company would seem to have "spoiled" the date on which Rocket League will become a free-to-play game on the game page on the Nintendo eShop. As you can see from the image that for the record we have reported at the bottom of the article, it would seem that the fateful date it will be next 23 September. It is not surprising however that, after a few hours, the web page has been changed with a more moderate "Rocket League will become free by the end of the summer".
However, this indiscretion must be carefully considered as it makes the news that Rocket League come out of the news even more important Game Pass di Microsoft products just in the last days of summer. Becoming completely free, as it will also happen on PlayStation 4 e Nintendo Switch, no subscription service will be needed to be able to play online with users of other platforms. At this point we just have to wait for more information from Psyonix Studios in the coming days that could give confirmation to what the big N has let slip.
