Not even 3 days after the release of Resident Evil 3 Remake, many rumors are already leaking on social media that see a possible protagonist Resident Evil 8. It was the insider AestheticGamer1, considered quite reliable, to reveal us through a long series of Tweet some leaks about the game. The eighth chapter of the saga would have been far away a few more years to be able to reach the end of its development, while Revelations 3, the third installment of the spin-off trilogy, was already at a good point, thus getting unexpected and very positive feedback from the testers.
The Japanese company would therefore have decided to take an extra year to convert this latter secondary title into a real Resident Evil 8, modifying the plot and mechanics to better integrate it into the narrative vein of the series: following this reasoning, the title could expect us in 2021. Capcom would have made this gesture simply because it did not want to spend too much time between RE7 and RE8.
Following the rumors, the game will be in first person e Ethan Winters, the playable protagonist of Resident Evil 7, heads for a village “Rural, snowy and mountainous” which leads him to a castle. This fortress is home to unusual creatures similar to werewolves. However AestheticGamer he stated that in his opinion right now this information is out of date. We just have to wait for a possible official announcement in the coming months!
