The data recorded on the official Capcom website speak for themselves: the new Resident Evil 3 Remake, released just 5 days ago, has already reached the finish line by ben 2 millions of copies sold. We obviously speak in terms of physical copies distributed around the world, added to those sold in digital format. Precisely the latter represent about the 50% of the game's total sales, which therefore amount to one million copies. The Japanese company itself said that the digital sales strategy played an important role in achieving the goal. Counting that the original Resident Evil 3: Nemesis published by Capcom back in 1999 it reached 3,5 million copies sold, the remake is thought to exceed this figure on a large scale. Making a comparison, Resident Evil 2 Remake, released in January last year, cumulatively sold over 6,5 million units.
Recently, a survey was released to gauge interest in potential future remakes. Beyond that, a rumor has emerged that a potential Resident Evil 4 Remake is currently in the works. It is understood that the study M-Two, the team that worked primarily on Resident Evil 3 Remake, would also lead this project. The game is currently available on PlayStation 4, Xbox One e PC.
