Project 007, the title dedicated to the universe of James Bond, announced by IO interactive in November 2020, it will focus on a new and original story dedicated to the famous secret agent, the protagonist of numerous films and, consequently, of some iconic videogame transpositions. For now there are no clues regarding the development status of the new game from the developers of Hitman, however, recently, it was published a job posting from the software house that gives us a little clue on the direction this new and intriguing 007 game could take.
The team is looking for a writer that deals with the realization of long narrative sequences, with a particular focus on character development of the characters. This could be translated into a willingness, on the part of IO Interactive, to focus his Project 007 in the narrative and in the representation of particularly characterized characters. A decision that could lead the team to work on still unexplored terrain, given that the Hitman series, although it has a more than valid story, has never been considered story driven. With this new project, however, they have the opportunity to work with the 007 franchise, which is full of narrative ideas. Who knows what this talented development house will be able to create.
Despite the new project in port, IO Interactive continues to support and update his latest title just released, that is Hitman 3, the last chapter of the new trilogy dedicated to agent 47 (here you can find ours review). The game turned out to be a real one amusement park for aspiring secret agents, giving the player the opportunity to approach the various game missions in various ways. In addition, the excellent graphics and an intriguing narration made this last chapter the best iteration of the series. We therefore can't wait to see if IO Interactive will use part of Hitman's successful ideas also on Project 007 or if instead it will try new approaches.
