Hello to all Prince of Persia fans. Since the announcement of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake in September, we have received tons of feedback from you on this beloved franchise. Your passion and support are guiding our development teams in creating the best game possible. That said, we have decided to move the release of Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time Remake to a later date. This additional development time will allow our teams to deliver a remake that is fresh while remaining faithful to the original. We know this update may come as a surprise to you and we will continue to update you on the progress of the game. In the meantime, we thank you for your continued support, the development team.
Although this remake was born with obvious technical problems, and that this is the second time its release is postponed (the title was supposed to be released on March 18 on PC, Playstation 4 and Xbox One), we really hoped that its release would take place later this year, but it won't. In fact, in the message from the developers no date is indicated, nor an approximate or hypothetical period in which this remake could see the light. As we said at the beginning, this postponement is not the first of 2021, a year that has already had to deal with many important titles, such as Hogwarts Legacy, which have seen their official debut postponed by several months.
Unfortunately, we are almost certain, this will not be the last title that will arrive late on our shelves compared to the date initially communicated by the developers. In a year in which it seems almost impossible to grab next-gen consoles, unfortunately, even the release of new titles on schedule seems like a chimera at the moment.
