Released back in 2003 on PlayStation 2, Xbox, Nintendo GameCube e Game Boy Advance, Prince of Persia: The Sands of Time has managed to enter the hearts of many fans and become a videogame icon thanks to the innovative gameplay that, at the time, largely revolutionized the concept of action games. The incredible special abilities of the Prince, the puzzles and the possibility of being able to rewind time were among the architects of the resounding success they brought Ubisoft to develop the series and make two sequels, The two thrones e The forgotten sands. By virtue of this success and considering the size of remake released in recent years, there are many fans who have long requested a makeover of the game and, according to various rumors, the French software house would be willing to please them. A few days ago we reported the indiscretion according to which Ubisoft would be willing to reveal during theForward event (to be held tomorrow) new information about his new games in development and among these, according to some leakers, there could also be the remake of Prince of Persia.
Assuming the game is officially unveiled, it would seem that it won't be available for Nintendo Switch. This is stated by the well-known and reliable market analyst Daniel Ahmad in a tweet in which he wanted to respond to a news about a mysterious person placeholder of a Switch game on the Amazon site. Ahmad claimed that, unlike what the leaker said Andrew Marble, this is not the remake of Prince of Persia but of Immortals: Fenyx Rising, which is the open-world title formerly known as Gods & Monsters. The dry denial on the arrival of the game on Nintendo Switch could suggest that the Ubisoft title is not a mere porting but a remake that requires hardware resources that the hybrid console cannot have and therefore, in addition to arriving on PlayStation 4, it might as well land on next-gen platforms. At this point, we just have to wait for tomorrow's event to find out how many and which rumors about the Prince's return will be confirmed once and for all.
That leak was wrong in terms of platform and date
