Through his official Twitter profile (@Tenaciuous_Diaz), Mark Diaz id Software has enjoyed showing the public a short one for a few minutes video gameplay of a remake dedicated to Red Pokémon e Pokémon Blue developed with the graphics engine Unity. The movie has a duration of just over a minute and can be enjoyed at the bottom of the news, where we reported the official tweet.
Mark Diaz's tweet is accompanied by the following message (translated into Spanish):
Here's what I got after three or four nights of work. Nothing incredible yet, the only real desire I have is to see the game as I remembered it as a child.
Pokémon, in the Red and Blue versions, are the first two video games in the series developed by Game Freak, under the direction of Satoshi Tajiri. The games were released for the legendary handheld console Nintendo Game Boy in 1996 in Japan, under the name of Pocket Monters Red and Pocket Monsters Green. Pocket Monsters Blu was released a few months later (in October of the same year) as a special edition. The two titles saw the light in North America in 1998 and in Europe in 1999. The players controlled the protagonist moving through the streets of the fantasy region known as Kanto, looking for creatures (called Pokémon) to catch.
Unity, the graphics engine with which this small remake was developed, is a software developed by Unity Technologies and allows you to develop video games and other 3D works in real time, such as animated films. The first version of Unity was released on June 8 2005, while on 1 September 2020 the latest version currently available for Windows PCs, macOS and Linux was released. Unity uses the programming languages C #, C ++, boo, unityscript and javascript.
Before leaving you to the movie we remind you that a fan, in a similar way to what Mark Diaz did, dedicated his trailer to Pokémon Shining Diamond e Shining Pearl. Here, finally, we have made one top 10 of the worst titles in the series never published.
