PlayStation 5: here's how the new rewards system will work

New information coming soon regarding the dashboard and the new game interface of PlayStation 5. In the past few hours Tidux, via a post on your account Twitter, released more details on the innovative rewards system introduced in Sony's next-gen console. The trophies will not just "unlock" an appropriate achievement to add to the list, but they will allow players to earn various types of in-game rewards. We report in detail the words of Tidux:

Trophies can reward you in the game and we saw that when we saw the UI. When a player passes the pointer over an “activity card” we can see the estimated time remaining, while when the player passes over a “trophy card” we can see which in-game reward will unlock the trophy.

As for Destruction All Star, you can see that the reward, for earning the trophy, is a banner and profile avatar. The new system looks similar to Uplay's rewards, in the way that you actually get a reward within the title after earning a trophy or finishing an achievement.

Earning a profile banner and avatar is just one example. Completing this achievement will give you X gems / Y EXP or this item, we will see many different possibilities when the console and games are launched.

Waiting to find out more details on the new generation console of the Japanese giant and on the new game interface, we remind you that PlayStation 5 will be available for purchase in our country starting from the next November 19 2020, at the price respectively of 499,99 € (PS5 "standard") and of 399,99 € (PS5 Digital Edition). Furthermore, in the past few hours Sony has clarified the matter concerning the recording of voice chats, reiterating that they will only be used to report abuse and harassment.
