Ninja Gaiden Trilogy: the collection appears on an online store

Online retailer Xtralife has just listed a collection planned for PlayStation 4 e Nintendo Switch entitled Ninja Gaiden Sigma Trilogy, which should go out to March 2021. The trilogy in question should include Ninja Gaiden SigmaNinja Gaiden Sigma 2 e Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edge. At the moment no further details are available since we are talking about an indiscretion not yet verified, and in this sense Koei Tecmo has not released official news on the matter.

Ninja Gaiden Sigma was originally published on PlayStation 3 in 2007 as an expanded version of the original Ninja Gaiden for Xbox. Likewise, Team Ninja released later Ninja Gaiden Sigma 2, an updated version of the sequel, for the Sony in 2009. Ninja Gaiden: Razor's Edgeinstead, it was an improved version of the original Ninja Gaiden 3, released for Wii U in 2013. The third game is remembered for being the first installment in the series not to be directed by Tomonobu Itagaki. Of course, reseller lists don't always translate to an actual product, and they need to be taken with due precautions. However, with the The Game Awards just around the corner, it certainly looks like a good time to Koei Tecmo to announce this collection. Ninja Gaiden 3 was negatively received by critics and audiences, and there has been no news of this historic series since then. Given the recent success of the series Nioh, it is not excluded that Team Ninja wants to revive the exploits of the iconic Ryu.

We just have to wait for the next few months to find out if this collection of Ninja Gaiden Trilogy will actually return to our consoles with a new updated version. This announcement could then hide the desire to bring the series back into vogue, since it's been missing from the scene for a long time. At the next The Game Wards we may find out more about it, so we have further motivation to follow them with great attention.
