Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales has sold 4,1 million of copies on PS4 e PS5 in 2020. This was revealed by Sony itself during the event organized by the Japanese company where the various earnings of the third quarter of the fiscal year 2020/2021. An important milestone for the exclusivity developed by Insomniac Games given its nature as a stand alone DLC from the original chapter Marvel's Spiderman released for PS4 in 2018. In fact, despite the game being qualitatively valid and with optimized performance for next gen consoles, the greatest criticism from users, in the first periods after the launch, concerned the small duration of the title, equal to about ten of hours.
In Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales we take on the role of Miles, a young student who discovers he has powers similar to Peter Parker and decides to help him fight the crime of New York. This will lead Peter himself to entrust Miles with the temporary role of "primary" Spider-Man, in view of a journey that will lead Peter himself away from the big apple for some time. Thus will begin Miles' adventure, full of fights with various criminal organizations and the scene of a series of events that will lead the young protagonist to reflect on his nature as a super hero and man. On the other hand, great responsibilities derive from great powers.
Marvel's Spider-Man: Miles Morales was one of the exclusive launch titles of PlayStation 5 along with the remake of Demon's Souls, Bugsnax e Astro's Playroom. However, compared to the other titles mentioned, the game was also released on PS4. In addition, the original Marvel's Spiderman chapter has been revived in the Next gen version just in view of the arrival on PS5 of the chapter dedicated to the young Miles.
