The video games of the brand Star Wars, famous film saga that certainly needs no introduction, have always been products that cyclically arrive on all or almost all game consoles. Over the years we have been able to attend many chapters taken from the cinematic universe and above all enjoy them in more or less all the game genres. Today, however, the official site StarWars.com, wanted to declare that all the video games taken from the famous universe will now be brought together under a single guise, namely the "new" brand that will be called Lucasfilm Games. A brand that will welcome a very vast catalog of iterations based on the world of Star Wars but always remaining with an eye towards the future.
At the top of the article you can see the presentation video and all or almost all the clips of the titles that will be part of it, while at the bottom you can read the tweet of the official page announcing this change. The mash up movie of the various chapters of the new era of Star Wars does nothing but revive the famous brand of Lucasfilm Games, once LucasArts. Similarly to what Sony did and are doing with PlayStation Studio and Xbox with Xbox Games Studios, the "new" brand wants to have a well-defined and recognizable identity by all the fans and not only. This is the official press release that appeared on the StarWars.com website:
StarWars.com is thrilled to reveal that Lucasfilm Games is now the official identity of all of Lucasfilm's gaming titles, a name that encompasses the company's rich video game catalog and its look into the future. To celebrate this new era, Lucasfilm Games has launched social channels on Twitter and Facebook, which will deliver the latest news and more directly to fans. The logo, in the foreground, will appear in all future titles.
New year, new look! Welcome to the new and improved Twitter page for news and information from Lucasfilm Games.
