A user of Reddit found a potential clue in the chapter menu that would suggest a DLC recently Little Nightmares 2. The user in question, known as WerewolfHide19, shared a photo of the game's chapter selection screen appearing on a grainy TV. The TV has eight channels on the dial, although Little Nightmares 2 only contains five chapters. This has led fans to believe that the game's development team, namely Tarsier Studios, may work on some DLC or additional content for the sequel.

According to the recent earnings report published by Embracer Group, parent company of Tarsier Studios, the developers of Little Nightmares are currently focused on creation of new IPs. This information would seem to close the doors on possible future developments of the beloved franchise, but nothing prevents us from thinking that additional content is still in the pipeline. Little Nightmares 2 is available from February 11 2021 on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, Windows PC and Google Stadia. At the moment, no release date has yet been announced on any versions for the new generation PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | S consoles.
