    League of Legends Pro League: The competition has been suspended due to the coronavirus

    The Chinese competition League of Legends Pro League was postponed to a later date due to the recent outbreak of coronavirus. The second week of the championship was initially scheduled for February 5th, but at the moment due to the highly contagious virus, the China it introduced severe travel restrictions in the country and banning large gatherings in its major cities. We report below what is declared by the LPL via a tweet:



    We have decided to postpone the second week of the LPL until we can ensure the safety and health of our players and fans.

    To our fans, we sincerely apologize that it has come to this and will share all the information as soon as possible.

    Even the Lega dell'Accademia dedicated to LPL, the League of Legends Development League, was postponed due to the rapid spread of the coronavirus. The onset of the disease has not only caused the postponement of competitions dedicated to eSports, but also the suspension of all professional sporting events until the month of March, as reported by the General Administration of Sport.

    We have decided to postpone week 2 of the LPL until we can ensure the safety and health of our players and fans.
