Widely shown last January 21, on the occasion of the showcase dedicated to the 25th anniversary of the famous videogame horror saga signed Capcom, the debut of Resident evil village is set for the next one 7 Maggio 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC. Although there are just under three months left for the release of the new adventure of Ethan Winters and Chris Redfield, many users continue to notice several similarities between the upcoming Village (or better known by fans of the brand as RE 8) e Resident Evil 4, assuming that the new work of the Japanese giant could be a testing ground for the remake of the much acclaimed fourth chapter of the horror saga.
In these last hours the well-known insider AestheticGamer, Aka Dusk Golem, reiterated on his Twitter account that the similarity between the two titles is pure coincidence and that Capcom has worked hard to differentiate them. Furthermore, as can be seen from the tweet, Resident Evil Village has suffered several slowdowns over the years due to Gold Edition di RE 7 Biohazard, which took the development team longer than it should. We report his words in detail:
Capcom is really trying to make the two games not too similar to each other, to make them both stand out in different ways, including assets. The reason Village is very similar to RE: 4 is not because it shares the same elements. With the release of Resident Evil 7 the team had practically made a sort of RE1 in first person, and they wanted to try to apply the same formula and do something similar, this time inspired by RE 4. It is actually a coincidence.
Waiting to finally get your hands on the highly anticipated new chapter of the famous Capcom horror saga, we remind you that Resident evil village will be available from next 7 Maggio 2021 on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S and PC.
(1/3) It actually isn't, I get the thought process from the outside towards this, but actually Resident Evil Village and RE: 4 being in dev at the same time wasn't intentional. To give the most basic summary, Village was started as RE8 back in late 2016 when RE7 was wrapping up, https://t.co/bKqUkmwObV
