According to what emerged in the last few hours on the well-known videogame forum, reddit, Microsoft products would intend to enrich the Xbox Seris X / S lineup (and most likely also Xbox One, given the clear philosophy of the company) by creating, in collaboration with FromSoftware, A new sci-fi RPG. According to what emerged from the leak, the news would have been previously released by Miles Dompier of Windows Central, who would have suggested that theThe new project under development would still be in the pre-production phase, therefore there would still be some time before knowing the actual release date. We report below what was communicated on reddit:
I haven't seen many people talk about this. But Miles Dompier casually said in a video on Windows Central Gaming that he heard rumors about a new Sci Fi RPG Microsoft is releasing, developed by FromSoftware. He says it's currently in pre-production, so it's still early days.
It is worth noting that Windows Central has access to many insiders on Microsoft and Xbox. But as always, take things with a grain of salt.
That said, it would make a lot of sense for Microsoft to partner with FromSoftware. They have made some of the best RPGs in recent years. They have a big impact in both the West and Japan, not to mention the huge following in the PC market. They are also available to work with Western publishers, as happened with Activision's Sekiro. Also, adding a new FromSoftware RPG to day one on the game pass would be absolutely fantastic and could open up to several partnerships.
Waiting to find out more details on the affair, we remind you to take these rumors with due precautions, since (although Windows Central has several contacts with the insiders of Microsoft products e Xbox) at the moment there has been no announcement or confirmation either from the Redmond house, much less from the Japanese software house.
