There are many peculiarities that make it special Horizon Zero Dawn, but one of the most iconic things in the game is without a doubt its roster of creatures robot. In fact, the entire game world is mainly dominated by machines reminiscent of dinosaurs and other forms of animal life, and this contrasts with the beautiful environment that can be explored in the company of Aloy. The machines are great, in other words, and so we're glad they'll be back in the sequel to PlayStation 5, Named Horizon forbidden west.
It was never in doubt that they would return, but there was always the question of variety. We will see new types of machines within the follow up? As far as we know now, the answer is yes; the debut trailer of Horizon Forbidden West unveils some new robot beasts that we will be pleased to meet. Apart from that, however, the details are really scarce.
Fortunately, Guerrilla shared some insights into these new creatures through her social channels. On Twitter, the studio profiled Shellsnapper, Bristleback e Sunwing, which all appear in the revealing video of the title. The first is an amphibious machine with a super tough shell, the second is a herd-class machine that will fight rather than run away: and finally the third is a flying machine that uses its solar panel-like wings to store energy. On top of that, did you know that a few days ago Horizon Zero Down became the most purchased game on Steam?

The amphibious Shellsnapper can dig itself in and lie dormant for days or even weeks, allowing its impenetrable shell to become covered by the surrounding foliage. #HorizonForbiddenWest #BeyondTheHorizon pic.twitter.com/LURWbqDgVp

Fast and nimble flyers, Sunwings are acquisition-class machines that use their photovoltaic wings to store energy. On bright days they can be seen hovering high in the air, to catch as much sun as possible. # HorizonForbiddenWest #BeyondTheHorizon pic.twitter.com/YntWYMm2HA

Meet The Machines!
Despite their classification as herd-based acquisition machines, Bristlebacks aren't skittish; instead of fleeing they become highly aggressive when threatened, using their tusks to great effect. # HorizonForbiddenWest #BeyondTheHorizon pic.twitter.com/46XXiLlL0w
