Hitman 3: Tim Sweeney is working on the port for the Epic Games Store [UPDATED]

Hitman 3, which will be released on 20st January to PC, Xbox One, Xbox Series X / S, PS4 and PS5, is already discussing. Do not worry, we are not in front of a disastrous case, but in the last few hours a nice cat has come out. As we have already told you here, in the new title produced by IO Interactive, it will be possible to replay the levels of the first two chapters of the saga, which are available on multiple platforms and on multiple digital stores. The latest effort from the Danish software house, on the other hand, will be available exclusively onEpic Games Store. The problem is all here: the gamers they bought Hitman e Hitman 2 su Steam they will not be able to upload their progress to the new title, according to what was declared by the Danish videogame production house in theirs pre-launch guide.

In the last few hours, the founder of the Epic Store Games spoke on the issue Tim Sweeney who, with a tweet, tried to reassure the users of the competing digital store:

Our team is investigating this issue with IO Interactive. It is never Epic's intention to create a situation where a user who has purchased a title on Steam must repurchase it on the Epic Games Store to get all the benefits.

Will they be able to find the key to the problem three days after launch? There is only to wait. If nothing else, however, the intention to remedy this paradoxical situation is all there.

And the users Epic? Hitman 2 is not available, so the problem does not arise. The first chapter, on the other hand, is available in the Game of The Year Edition: it will be possible, therefore, to take advantage of the implementation of levels and player profile in Hitman 3. As for the second chapter, the pass, available in the Standard editions (includes only the basic levels) and Gold (includes both the basic levels and those implemented with the expansion pass), will be discounted by 80% for two weeks starting January 20. SECURITY UPDATE TRAINING: As confirmed by the new post from IO Interactive, the matter has been completely resolved, players will not have to buy Hitman 1 and Hitman 2 on the Epic Games Store.
