During the day yesterday there have been several rumors, all quite reliable, regarding the possible release of GTA V like free title of the week on the Epic Games Store portal. For the uninitiated, the platform gives away every seven days (Thursdays at 17pm) at least one title that can be redeemed and which will remain yours forever. No more rumors now, but an official tweet from epic Games promptly removed would have confirmed the news.
As you can see directly here, the tweet in question is no longer available, however the speed of some users in recording the screenshot allowed a second disclosure soon after. In the short video, which is none other than a presentation film, it is explicitly said that GTA V will be free until May 21st exclusively from Epic Games Store. If this news turns out to be really truthful, let's imagine that Epic has really shelled out a large sum to grab such a title given the numbers that, after many years, the title Rockstar still manages to grind.
All that remains is to wait a few more hours before finding out if GTA V will actually be a new free title from Epic Games or if all this news will prove to be fake.
