epic Games announced, during the wait Nvidia's Geforce Special Event, a particular function for Fortnite coming soon and exclusively the users of Nvidia GPU. In fact, the two companies have confirmed that thanks to the functions of RTX from Nvidia was able to include the ray tracing, the occlusion of the environment and the support to the DLSS.
These features are intended to be included both in the battle royale mode that saves the world of the game for all Nvidia GPUs that support RTX functions. More precisely, on Fortnite the developers intend to implement three of the most used functions of the RTX set. Ray traced lighting helps the player calculate more accurate reflections and bounces, while ray traced room occlusion allows for greater depth to the world and more accurate shadows. Finally, the DLSS, or Deep Learning Super Sampling, allows you to decrease the resolution of the game and increase it with the AI, allowing you to use ray tracing functionality without any decrease in performance.
Fortnite is now a worldwide success in all respects, a title that has been transformed into something different from the original project by the simple will of the public.
