We have long been talking about the arrival of the new streaming service Disney Plus which, in terms of scope and intentions, is preparing to give a hard time to Netflix, currently the undisputed ruler of the streaming scene. The platform will be launched by the end of the year but the exact contents it will offer are not yet known. In the last few hours, however, the CEO Bob Iger stated that Disney + will have all the Disney classics in its catalog, from the oldest to the most recent.
With this declaration, the so-called "Disney Vault" would therefore disappear: a policy implemented by the company according to which some titles are available on home video for a certain period of time, after which they are put "in the vault" until a next edition. Iger also added that the offering will also be complemented with original movies and TV series based on the company-owned franchises such as Star Wars and Marvel.
