Codemasters is ready to show off the new DiRT 5. The latest title in the studio's gripping off-road car racing saga, will be available in multi-platform and also on Xbox series X, console whose performance was shown with the new trailer released during the last one Inside Xbox. The software house is so enthusiastic about the work done on this fifth chapter of the series, to be sure that it will be the first of a new generation… and not just “of” the new generation. In this chapter, born deep in Cheshire in the United Kingdom, we can discover how insiders have developed the concept of reality in an exceptional way. Thanks to the advancement of technology Codemasters is sure to have created the boldest, bravest and most elegant off-road racing game ever made to date, where intense and competitive action is only the beginning of what lies ahead.
This kind of titles is often difficult to use for newcomers, but in this case the new generation will be able to take a tour of the entire past of the videogame series, retracing the events until 1998, when Colin McRae Rally brought the world of off-road racing in video games and making it mainstream. Thanks to this path, users will be able to learn about all the events that led the series to then take the name Dirt in 2007. Everyone will be able to find out which and how many extreme high-impact races the series has produced, retracing even the most brutal and ultra realistic Dirt Rally 2.0. After immersing yourself in the past of the car racing saga, you can enjoy the fantastic locations, epic races, a variety of vehicles and truly incredible surfaces.
Mud and engines
DiRT 5 it will take you behind the wheel of powerful off-road vehicles of various kinds in iconic scenarios of the real world, to race through dynamic routes and truly extreme conditions. Fortunately there is something more, thanks to the Take Career mode, players will be able to play a deep story-based modality, full of a starry cast, led by legendaries Troy Baker e Nolan North. These two iconic voices from the world of car racing will accompany players on their journey, along with some ever-familiar names from the world of automotive culture. In this way, players will be able to make their own choices, change their story accompanied by an adequate and profound narrative.
The developers will bring us the deepest livery editor in the franchise and the photo mode in the race, with which players will be able to show their creative side and unforgettable shots. In this new title of the series, nothing will be missing, with the inclusion of 12-player multiplayer games with fun objective-based modes. Offline fanatics can have fun with their friends by playing with it split screen up to four players. There are also features and modalities that the Codies have decided to reveal only with the launch of the title; in short, it seems that DiRT 5 will truly be the most complete car racing game of its kind.
It will be the toughest test bench that will tell us whether DiRT 5 truly becomes the world's first next-generation racing game when it is released in an unspecified date in October of this year. The ideas and the potential are many, and the power of the new consoles then do nothing but give us greater security, hoping for a level of graphics never seen before and top-level performance. The trailer shown during the Inside Xbox gave us proof of the great performance of Series X, but also showed us more closely what the game offers us.
Around the world
The Codemasters title promises to take us into wild races, where players will be able to see even the smallest splash of mud rise from the wheels of their opponents and crash into their windshields. The beauty and action of the title are so strong and engaging that according to the developers, players should leave all their knowledge and expectations behind before starting. Players will have to forget the "normal" driving style to indulge in a more reckless and whimsical, or even crazy, driving style. Dirt 5 will put us in front of different locations, which will be able to give different feedbacks every time, between American states, the city of New York, but also landscapes in China, Norway and Italy, all supported by the presence of the seasons, which will change the approach to the tracks themselves precisely because of the effect of climate on environments.
