According to the latest news, the development of Dead Island 2, the sequel to the video game Dead Island released during 2011 and the third main installment of the series, is definitely proceeding to swollen sails. In the past few hours, some have been leaked via Twitter screenshot at stake related to the upcoming project with a license plate Deep Silver, which apparently has not been abandoned in any way despite its development having been quite troubled in recent past years.
Going more specifically, one of these screens, which you find at the bottom of the news, would be dated June 19 2015: although this is apparently an already quite advanced build of the game, what we are seeing could simply be a discarded version of a project dating back to now 5 years ago.
Beyond that, there are many people who claim that this 2015 version would have been developed by YAGER Development, a German software house that just from that year no longer holds the role of developer for Dead Island 2, then passed last year into the hands of Dambuster Studios, another UK based team. In our dedicated article we show in more detail the announcement he made Koch Media during November 2019, in which it was emphasized how the development of the title is progressing very well, contrary to what many thought.
