The game world of cyberpunk 2077 appears to be incredibly vast and ready to be fully explored, and while players will have a large number of upgrades and means at their disposal to move freely around the map, CD Projekt RED seems to have removed the ability to move by running on walls due to level design reasons. The feature was originally planned within the title, but at a later stage of development it was replaced by a series of skills that can be unlocked and improved throughout the game.
Max Pears, level designer of cyberpunk 2077 stated in an interview with GameReactor that although “wall-running” has been cut for design reasons, the title will offer players a lot of flexibility in how they decide to move around the vast game world. The ability to run on walls seems to have proved inadequate for exploring the game environments, so the team simply decided to replace it with other features.
This is an element that we have removed due to level design problems, but this does not mean that there will be limitations in the way V can move within the game world, everything is still very flexible so rest assured.
