CD Project Red has undoubtedly received the limelight in recent years thanks to its acclaimed series The Witcher. Given the importance of this series, it is surprising that there are no references to its main character, that is Geralt of Rivia, in cyberpunk 2077. However, where the software house does not act, the community arrives. The illustrator RX he in fact shared his creation on ArtStation, where we see an unpublished Geralt of Rivia torn from his usual medieval environment and placed in the futuristic Night City. However, the artist's reinterpretation of the android Geralt does not stop at a simple image. The RX post shows various concepts that include his weapons and many other details.
Starting with the main design, Geralt can be seen wearing bulletproof armor under a voluminous green jacket, in addition to the iconic silver ponytail. With a gun in one hand and a hologram map in the other, behind Geralt we see the labyrinthine Night City and his motorcycle called Roach. Next to him we see the head of one of his prey kept in a tank. Geralt also sports a robotic arm that has several battle modes, including Shockwave mode, Flamethrower mode, Energy Shield mode, and Hack mode. RX also replaced the character's two signature swords - the iron and silver sword - with a plasma pistol and a revolver. As much as it is a fan art, Geralt in Cyberpunk version undoubtedly has its own charm.
The voice actor of Geralt of Rivia, Doug Cockle, will be delighted to see his character imagined in Cyberpunk 2077, as the actor hoped to be able to appear in at least a cameo. Cockle has in fact defined himself disappointed by the fact that the Polish development team had never contacted him to make an appearance in Cyberpunk 2077.
