Although we cannot know the veracity of these statements, it must be admitted that on several fronts the company has been accused of mismanagement of its resources and of focusing more on the advertising campaign for the game than on the development itself, which, according to some, would only start in 2016.

While the title continues to receive small corrective patches regularly, the former DLC free is expected to arrive in the middle of this year. A completely different story for the long-awaited patch next gen, which we probably won't see before the end of 2021, if not next year. So we just have to hope that CD Projekt Red holds firm and that it manages to present players with a version of Cyberpunk 2077 worthy of the game it should have been.
