According to the roadmap followed by the publisher of the entire saga, Activision, this year should have been the turn of SledgeHammer Games as regards the development of a new Call of Duty. The development team would have the support of Raven Software, but it seems that the two companies have had production problems and that is why Treyarch has come forward to complete the work.
Also, others rumors suggest that the reveal of the title could take place with a in-game event di Modern Warfare e Warzone. The "confirmation" would have come from some data miners who, by analyzing the game files, in addition to finding various clues relating to a possible crossover event, some voice lines of Sergeant Frank Woods, anticipating his debut as an Operator.
