Being the iconic character on an entire superhero roster doesn't have to be easy at all, but you know, great powers come with great responsibilities. Exactly for this reason Spider-Man is, without a shadow of a doubt, the most prominent hero of the entire Marvel universe, thanks above all to a charisma that makes him more unique than his abilities. As has been known for some time now, the new video game dedicated to Spider-Man is about to hit the shelves and, more precisely, it will do so on 7 September exclusively on PlayStation 4. But before the project passed into the skilled hands of Insomniac Games, so many development houses have bounced poor Peter Parker that, over the years, especially in the gaming sector, has not received the justice it deserved. Therefore, following the success of the DC counterpart, thanks to the Batman trilogy, Marvel has also decided to create its universe within video games, starting from the friendly neighborhood Spider-Man. Waiting for the official release, however, we have prepared a list of old glories related to the brand, games to brush up on or, if you have never had them, to recover.
Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage

Thus was born Spider-Man and Venom: Maximum Carnage, where the two enemies are forced to work together to defeat Carnage. The beauty of this scrolling fighting game lies in the faithful reproduction of the events of the comic, which tells the same story.
Spider-Man 2
Exactly 2 years after the first game, Peter Parker returns to the charge again, but this time on the more powerful PlayStation 2. This time you won't have to settle for just shooting on the roofs of New York's skyscrapers, in fact, the title will allow you to freely explore the city, thus realizing the dream of many fans. The videogame also in this case will allow you to face Spider-Man's most iconic enemies, as well as faithfully following some comic book events.
Ultimate Spider-Man
The first game starring Peter Parker from the Ultimate universe, the game was developed by Treyarch and came out exactly after Spider-Man 2. The title receives all the necessary upgrades, from a larger and more lively city, to bosses more structured fights. Despite the Cel-Shading graphics, the game managed to assert itself, pushing even the youngest and most high school Spider-Man in this universe.
Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions
Especially in the latter period of the editorial history of the wall climber, the Marvel hero with the super problems has had dozens of variations of alternate universes. Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions he launches us into a game that makes this his deus ex machina. Spider-Man: Realm of Shadows
This is the first title dedicated to Spider-Man that makes various end users available, as the experience is influenced according to the choices of the player. The title sees New York destroyed by Venom's symbionts and, the latter, at the head of this army. After a traumatic start, the videogame will take you back to three days before these dramatic events. The goal is to prevent what we have seen, making important choices that will be decisive for everyone's future.
The Amazing Spider-Man
Last chapter before the current console generations. The game successfully follows the wave of the film of the same name, but the events narrated take place after the events of the film. Something went wrong at Oscorp and creatures of all sorts, including Rat Man Vermin, fled causing panic to the city.. Your goal will be to restore order to the sound of very scenic battles and articulated clashes.
