Like every year, even theE3 2019 it was a perfect stage to show the many novelties of the videogame market and to update the public on the progress of works already announced for some time. Great video games such as Final Fantasy VII Remake, Cyberpunk 2077 and Watch Dogs Legion were shown, but at the same time gamers were able to discover titles of lesser media impact, but of sure value. Among these there is certainly also LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga, anthological work developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Entertainment, which promises its target audience to revive the entire history of the film brand like never before. Carrying a large backpack full of hype and hope on our shoulders, let's go and analyze this new chapter of the series. So are you ready to relive the complete story of Star Wars?
The entire Star Wars cinematic universe reconstructed with the famous Danish bricks
Unlike the previous chapters of the series, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will allow players to fully relive all nine films of the famous saga, including the highly anticipated film "The Rise of Skywalker". However, players will not be forced to follow the chronological order of the films, but will be able to freely range within the saga by playing, for example, first The Return of the Jedi, then The Phantom Menace and finally The Awakening of the Force. However, it is interesting to know that playing the various chapters in sparse chronological order will have repercussions on the continuation of the plot, although for the moment the developers have not revealed what they will consist of.
LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga will introduce several mechanics never included in the series such as the possibility di pilot your spaceship directly and travel on the many planets available in each galaxy. You got it right, this work will give the gamer full control of the adventure by allowing him to explore new planets or engage in intense space battles with your shuttle with TIE fighters or, why not, even with the Star Destroyer. In short, LEGO Star Wars: The Skywalker Saga is proposed as the video game that all Star Wars lovers have been waiting for for years.
While exploring the planets, players will be able to choose their hero from a plethora of playable characters (each with unique characteristics and interactions), thus living a unique experience every time. Furthermore the planets will never be "empty", but there will always be plenty of side quests available on their surface, which will range from bringing object X to point Y up to much more complex and satisfying missions, in addition to the presence of collectibles to find and puzzles to solve. Players will also have the opportunity to move around using a Landspeeder or, if they want to experience the whole experience in a more adventurous way, riding the surrounding fauna.
Our conclusions
The game is certainly still in the early stages of development, but it looks very promising right now. Thanks to the powerful and new engine of TT Games the graphic rendering is really excellent and, even if it has to manage thousands of bricks on the screen, it offers us some very high quality textures with really detailed panoramas. There is no lack of irony within this new work: the trademark of the LEGO series is in fact preserved and you can immediately notice it in the trailer shown to us during E3 2019. In conclusion, this title fully convinces us and it fascinates us to such an extent that we wish we could already have it in our hands to be able to explore, as never before, the entire Star Wars universe. However, we will have to wait a few more months before we can enjoy this work, LEGO STAR WARS: THE SKYWALKER SAGA will make its debut in the gaming market in an unspecified 2020.
