Valheim is undoubtedly one of the games of the moment, and will put you in front of some challenges where you will need to be prepared, including, of course, the bosses. After the first and second bosses we helped you defeat, it's the turn of the third boss you will face in the new title developed by Iron gate ab. This is superior in strength to the previous ones, as well as having the appearance of a giant green jelly-like blob that has absorbed hundreds of bones.
The following text may contain narrative and playful spoilers on Valheim, the latest work by Iron Gate AB and published by Coffee Stain Studios. We therefore advise you to continue carefully in order to avoid any major and minor spoilers, which could undermine your play experience.
Where to find Bonemass
After defeating The Elder (the second boss we told you about earlier), you will receive the Swamp Key. This will give you access to the submerged dungeons in the swamp. During the exploration you will find the runestone that you will need to summon the boss, but also remember to collect, along the way, ten withered bones. Once in the Swamp area, you will have to go to the altar, recognizable because it is a big skull with an open mouth. Place the ten bones on the altar and Bonemass will emerge in all its slimy.
How to defeat Bonemass
Bonemass has three attacks. The first is a melee attack that he will use when you are close, and the second is a toxic attack that saturates the air and does heavy poison damage if you get hit. His third attack, rather than being ranged like the previous bosses, is evocation, which he will use to summon skeletons and little blobs that will come between you and him to join the fight.
This boss is highly resistant to all forms of damage except melee attacks. You will find that at a distance the bows and arrows will be almost completely ineffective, and it will take too long to take it down. In the meantime he will be the one to have shot you down more than once. The most effective solution is that of use iron armor and blunt weapons like clubs and hammers, obviously as up-to-date as possible, and stay close enough to hit him and escape, or organize yourself as a team and divide up the tasks. Since Bonemass also heals during a fight, you will have to constantly continue the assault. Its toxic attack does a lot of damage, so an exaggerated supply of mead is recommended for resistance to poison. To do this, however, you would have to unlock the cauldron and fermenter long before you think about dealing with it.
The Bonemass trophy
After defeat, Bonemass will release a mass full of bones. Place the trophy on the sacrificial stone to receive a power that increases resistance to physical damage. You will also have Wishbone, which when equipped as armor, will lead you to hidden objects, which can be treasures or silver, which you will use to craft.
