Let's make an important premise: the silver sword "Aerondight" that we will cover in this guide can ONLY be taken in the Blood and Wine DLC of The Witcher 3. If you don't have this add-on, you won't be able to get this sword.

In order to take this sword you will basically have to demonstrate that you have the 5 virtues: Compassion, Generosity, Honor, Valor and Wisdom.

There are several occasions in the DLC where you will be given the opportunity to make choices that, if actually made, will demonstrate that you have these particular virtues. In fact, several users, at the time of starting the quest indicated below, discovered, to their great surprise, that they had already demonstrated all the virtues without realizing it.

- Generosity. Go to the main square of Beauclair to find a child who will deliver you a letter. You give him 5 crowns.

- Honor. In the side mission "The Warble of a Smitten Knight" you participate in the tournament as Geralt of Rivia. After the horse race you agree to participate in the horse duel and win.

- Value. In the side mission "The Warble of a Smitten Knight" after following the girl into the woods and returning to the camp, you decide to finish the tournament and win.

- Wisdom. In the main mission "La Cage Au Fou" after meticulously exploring the creature's lair, when you are hidden in the closet you decide to remove the curse instead of attacking the creature.

3) At this point, all you have to do is go back to the lake and talk to the hermit again. A clash will take place, come out winners and as with excalibur the hand of the lady of the lake will hand you the fantastic Aerondight Sword from the water.
