When a product or a series continues to be talked about, it means that the path taken is the right one. It has been a long time since a product linked to the saga of Star Wars he was not received by audiences and critics with such appreciation, and it was only a matter of time before he began to investigate his future and possible twists. The rumors of the last few days about the upcoming season of The Mandalorian, in fact, they gave even more hope to the theories and speculations that portrayed the most beloved bounty hunter of the Star Wars universe, the character that can be glimpsed for a few moments in the series Disney +. According to some (unofficial) sources, Boba Fett will appear in the second season of The Mandalorian, and it would seem that it can be interpreted Temuera Morrison, the same actor who played the role of Jango Fett in the prequel trilogy (episodes I, II, and III). If all this turns out to be true, it would mean that Disney is trying to involve everyone in this new series of the Star Wars universe, also because the only disappointment born on The Mandalorian (only for some fans, because we have found it a great merit) was that it was not directly connected with the history of the films.
Some of the information below may turn out to be spoilers about The Mandalorian Season XNUMX finale, so we encourage you to continue reading just in case you have finished watching.
Between jaws and gastric juices
If the company had really decided to bring the mythical bounty hunter back with great fanfare, even if for a short part of the story from what was reported by the rumors, it would be a bold move, but with many doubts behind him: it is not very clear at the moment (and will need to say the least of an explanation) how it is possible that the dreaded Boba is still alive, and how he managed to survive the fall into the Well of Carkoon, between the immense jaws of the Sarlacc. We remind you that the story of Mando and his companions takes place after "The Return of the Jedi" and the fall of the empire, but long before "The Awakening of the Force". This means that a prequel would be absolutely out of the question. Since the arrival of this voice on the net, the toto-boba fett survive has been unleashed around the Internet. Everyone is trying to figure out, guess and judge if and how the brave bounty hunter managed to survive.
As you can see from the image below (which almost resembles a Dante group ed.) The Sarlacc it is a gigantic beast that, due to its vastness, takes almost a thousand years to completely digest a living being. The most accredited hypothesis seems to be the one where Disney can adopt the events narrated in A Barve Like That: The Tale of Boba Fett, story contained in an anthology present in Tales from Jabba's Palace (story with which we also learn some details on how Boba Fett delivered a cryogenized Han Solo to Jabba's palace).
As for his escape, Boba Fett wakes up inside the Sarlacc, immobilized like thousands of other poor souls before him, and with his heavily damaged armor from the digestive system. Through the creature, he would have created telekinetic contact with the first of his victims: Susejo, a Choi swallowed by the foul creature nearly 400 years ago. In doing so, he learns that Susejo can exert some control over the Sarlacc, and tries to exploit it to cause the creature to contract around his jetpack. The resulting explosion would have caused the bounty hunter to free itself from the grip it was in, immediately activating concussion grenades inside the beast, creating a hole in its entrails. Boba Fett would then come out of that hell badly injured, but still alive. The decisive rescue would instead have been by Java, who took him with them, mistaking him for a droid.
Although this same theory seems to have some doubts, appears by far the most coherent and truthful one. Perhaps the jetpack itself could have been used to escape from the creature's mouth, and the wound not deep enough to pierce the Sarlacc's belly (which otherwise would have filled with dirt and sand, being underground). There are also several other theories on the web, among fans and enthusiasts: that Boba Fett managed to burn his intestines, causing him great stomach strength and being rejected? Or, that someone from the outside killed the Sarlacc and once "opened the way" Boba Fett and other victims were finally able to get out of the death trap?
in short there are so many possibilities and there are still so many questions, including those related to the future of Boba Fett himself, if he is included in The Mandalorian: would he die in the series? Would it disappear? Or will he go to the outer rim to never have to deal with the battle for the conquest of the universe again?
The dark character
Staying on the series, seems to be Boba Fett the mysterious character who appeared at the end of the fifth episode of the first season (named in the original language "The Gunslinger"). In fact, from the video that we propose above, it is possible to see how the details of the proposed costume are the same, even if the darkness of the images does not help much. So here we are to recognize the typical cloak of the hunter, but also the details of the holster on the right thigh. In addition to the clear visual correspondences, there are also other sound clues, which do nothing but support this hypothesis: that it is the noise of the bounty hunter's "cowboy-like" boots, or that it is the identical sequence of "beep beep" that we hear in the background, it is really unlikely that it could be just coincidences.
The saddest of hypotheses could make it all fall into the simple easter egg trap, even if in this case it would not make much sense to propose it in a final scene of that type. For now we obviously can't tell you what exactly awaits us during the second season of The Mandalorian, but we can be sure that over the next few weeks, we will find out much more about both the possible appearance of Boba Fett, and about that of. Ahsoka Tano.
