Troubleshooting Galaxy A20e that got stuck on Samsung logo
The problem is that you will not be able to create a copy or backup of your files and data simply because the device can no longer boot properly. But the good thing is that it still lights up and you can always do something about it.
However, we need to be very thorough in troubleshooting so that we can try to fix this problem without losing files and data. That said, here's what you need to do:
First solution: try starting the Galaxy A20e in safe mode
It is always possible that an app or some of them triggered a problem with the firmware that resulted in a problem like this.
If so, you will be able to boot your phone into safe mode considering the fact that most of the time, third party apps are the cause of a problem like this. Here's how to restart your phone in safe mode using the hardware buttons:
- Turn off the device.
- Press and hold the power key past the model name screen that appears on the screen.
- When SAMSUNG appears on the screen, release the Power key.
- Immediately after releasing the Power key, press and hold the Volume Down key.
- Continue holding the Volume Down key.
If booting into Safe Mode is successful, your phone will display the text “Safe Mode” in the lower left corner of the screen and you should be able to use it normally. In this case, try to create a backup of your important files and data, then try restarting your phone in standard mode.
If it doesn't boot into standard mode and your Galaxy A20e gets stuck on the Samsung logo, try restarting it in safe mode, then perform a factory reset from the Settings menu.
On the other hand, if your phone failed to boot into safe mode then move on to the next solution.
Second solution: boot the Galaxy A20e into recovery mode
If your Galaxy A20e won't boot in safe mode, you should try booting it into recovery mode.
This mode is considered safe for Android devices because even if the phone has a serious firmware-related issue, as long as the firmware hasn't been changed, it should still be able to boot into recovery mode. Here's how to do it with your Galaxy A20e:
- Turn off the device.
- Keep the keys pressed Volume up e Switching .
- When the Galaxy A20e logo appears, release all three keys.
- Your Galaxy A20e will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
Assuming your phone has reached the black screen with blue texts on it, it means that it has successfully booted into recovery mode. In this case, you should do the following to try to fix the problem by wiping the cache partition:
- Press the button Volume down several times to highlight the cache partition deleted.
- Press the key power on to select.
- Press the button Volume down to highlight Yes, then press the key power on to select.
- After wiping the cache partition is complete, the system Reboot now is highlighted.
- Press the key power on to restart the device.
If it still won't boot after wiping the cache partition, try restarting it again in recovery mode and then do a factory reset. That's how:
- Turn off the device.
- Keep the keys pressed Volume up e Switching .
- When the Galaxy A20e logo appears, release all three keys.
- Your Galaxy A20e will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
- Press the key several times Volume down to highlight “wipe data / factory reset”.
- Press the Power button to select.
- Press the button Volume down until “Yes” is highlighted.
- Press the Power button to select and start the master reset.
- When the master reset is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
- Press the power button to restart the device.
Again, as long as the firmware hasn't been changed, you should still be able to boot the phone properly by doing the master reset via recovery mode.
However, if the problem persists even after you have performed this procedure, it is time to bring it back to the service shop so that a technician can check it.
