Galaxy A20e cannot make or receive calls
Being able to make and receive calls is one of the basic functions of a telephone. It goes without saying that any cell phone should be able to do this with some normality, as long as the prerequisites such as having a valid SIM installed and that the phone is in coverage area are met.
But since this problem occurred on your new device, here are the things you need to do to fix it ...
1) How to force restart the Galaxy A20e
If your Samsung Galaxy A20 cannot make or receive calls, it could be just a small problem with the firmware or even the result of a glitch.
That said, the first thing to do is the forced restart which will refresh the phone's memory and reload all its apps and services. This often fixes small firmware glitches that cause various problems. Here's how to do it:
- Press and hold the Volume Down button and don't release it yet.
- While holding down the volume button, also press and hold the power key.
- Press and hold both keys together for 15 seconds or until the Galaxy A20e logo appears on the screen.
Next, try calling any phone number (not mine ?) to see if your phone is still unable to make or receive calls. If the problem remains, skip to the next solution.
2) Make sure your phone can send text messages
If this problem is due to network or account problems, the device should not be able to send or receive text messages. Therefore, the next thing you need to do is text your number to see if the message goes through and if your phone can receive it.
If the message isn't sent, the problem could really be with the network or with your account. However, if the message is successfully transmitted, the problem may be account related. Move on to the next solution.
3) Call the operator
When it comes to network or account issues, your service provider is the best part to call as they all have access to their network services and your account.
If it's a network issue, at least, you'll be told how long you should wait before you can get the service back and if it's a problem with your account, then you know what to do to get your phone working perfectly.
4) Reset the Galaxy A20e to factory settings
If calling your service provider didn't help resolve the issue, a master reset might help. Return the device to its default settings or configuration. If it's just a problem with the firmware and not the hardware, a reset might fix it.
However, make sure you make a copy of your important files and data as they will all be deleted. Next, remove your Google and Samsung accounts so you don't get locked out. Once everything is in order, follow these steps to reset your phone:
- Turn off the device.
- Keep the keys pressed Volume up e Power on.
- When the Galaxy A20e logo appears, release all three keys.
- Your Galaxy A20e will continue to boot into recovery mode. When a black screen with blue and yellow texts appears, proceed to the next step.
- Press the key several times Volume down to highlight “wipe data / factory reset”.
- Press the Potenza key to select.
- Press the button Volume down until “Yes” is highlighted.
- Press the Power button to select and start the master reset.
- When the master reset is complete, “Reboot system now” is highlighted.
- Press the power button to restart the device.
