Baits are objects that in Pokemon GO can be placed at Pokestops to attract Pokemon to that position, thus helping you to capture many more.

The Lures they are bought in the shop of the game by paying with real money, but they are also awarded as a reward by leveling up. As you can see in the guide to unlockable items by leveling up in Pokemon GO, you will get 1 Lure when you reach levels 8, 10 and 15 and 2 Lures when you reach level 20.

A very important thing to know is that the effects of bait in Pokemon Go apply to all players in the vicinity, and not just for you. The Lures will do nothing but make Pokemon appear near the area you are in, you will have to reach them and capture them, which other players who are nearby can very well do.

Also remember that the Pokemon that appear due to the call remain in position for about 2 and a half minutes, unlike the Pokemon that are normally found which remain for 15 minutes.

When you have a lure, approach Pokestop, open the map and tap on the Pokestop. You will have confirmation that the Lure is active when you see some pink leaves falling near the Pokestop.

Remember that the effect of the Lure lasts exactly 30 minutes, and even if you close the application the time will continue to run.
