How to install Sky Go on Chromecast?

Sky Go is an application that allows you to watch sporting events, news, movies, shows, entertainment and much more. Sky Go is available for MAC, Windows, Xbox, PlayStation, iPhone and iPad. This is a subscription-based service and you must have a valid username and password to use the application. 

The Sky Go app doesn't support Chromecast, and as a result, you can't cast it directly from the app. You can still mirror your phone or use the web version of Sky Go and stream it using Chrome.

How to watch Sky Go on Chromecast?

There are two methods for broadcast the contents of Sky Go on the TV. Here are the two methods:

Since Sky Go is not compatible with Chromecast, it is required mirror your phone screen to watch content on the TV.

1. Connect Chromecast to your TV's HDMI port.
2. Connect Chromecast and your mobile to the same WiFi network.
3. Click on the settings menu.
4. In the settings menu, tap the "Connected devices" button and then click "Connection preferences".
5. You will find the "Cast" option in it. Click on it.
6. The list of available devices will be displayed on the screen. Click the Chromecast device name to cast the full screen.
7. A warning screen for the Screen Mirroring option will appear. Click the Start Now button to cast the full screen.

The entire phone screen will appear on the TV.

Note: For better resolution, watch the video in full screen mode. Furthermore, while mirror your screen, all notifications and messages on the screen will also be displayed on the TV.

Note: Sky Go is not compatible with Chromecast for now and so we are mirroring your screen to watch it on TV. Sky Go may update its software and make it compatible with casting in the near future. Until then you can only use the screen mirroring option.

How to use Chromecast Sky Go with Chrome from PC?

Follow the steps below to broadcast Sky Go from the Chrome browser:

1. Open Sky Go on your browser and start playing a video.
2. Click the menu icon in the upper right corner of the browser.
3. Click the "Cast" button available under the menu icon.
4. The list of available devices will be displayed.
5. Click on the Chromecast device to cast the card to the TV.

You will now find the video playing on the TV. You can minimize the browser or start working on other tabs as well. This will not affect the tab you have open on your TV.
