Deus Ex Mankind Divided puts the player in front of several fundamental choices to make in order to proceed through the story. A fairly important one is the one where you need to choose between saving Allison or robbing the bank. Here are the consequences that this choice entails and how it affects subsequent missions.
ATTENTION: SPOILERS FOLLOW !!!
If you choose Allison
Choosing Allison will no longer be able to complete the bank mission, instead you will need to go to the Church of the Machine God and attempt to save Allison. Once the fight begins, you will learn that Allison is not a prisoner, in fact she is the head of the Church of the Machine God. Adam will then ask about the explosive device he built, so he can use persuasion to find out more details about the story.
Choose the Alpha answer for the first choice, then Omega, Alpha and Beta. This will stop Allison, she will help you unravel Viktors' plans. You'll also get a scanner to use against the final boss, but it won't take too much.
If you choose the Bank
By choosing the bank it will not be possible to complete the Allison mission. First you need to use the third floor access card and make it a magnetic key to use for the elevator. From the same room there is access to a hidden room with a passage that goes down to the elevator. To enter the hall turn the 3 small pillars on the table next to the wall until they line up with the ceiling pillars (1 column goes to 3 pillars, 2 to 2 and 1 to 3).
Take the elevator and get off. In the Versalife Vault make sure to open the safe to get an antidote for Orchid poison, it will come in handy later.
Upon exiting, it will be possible to access the other Vaults that hide valuable loot such as Praxis points and a unique shotgun inside.
The bank therefore appears to be the option because it hides more attractive rewards. Miller won't be happy since you disobeyed orders, but he won't do anything.
