Dead Space 2 - The Hand Cannon, the prize for completing the Hardcore difficulty

Bang, Bang!! Pew, Pew, Pew!!!

The pleasant avalanche of content continues for Dead Space 2 which is overwhelming us within hours of the game being released in our stores.

First of all, let's clarify the different game modes and difficulty levels. In your first game you can choose between these difficulty levels:

Easy
Middle
Difficle
Fanatico (Zealot).

Once you have completed the game for the first time, replaying will give you two new modes:  

New Game +
Estremo (Hardcore)

The New Game + mode allows you to start a new game while keeping all the weapons, items, and upgrades you got in the first game. However, if you love real challenges, you might decide to play the second game in Hardcore mode, which is the highest difficulty level at which it is possible to face the game.

The Extreme mode (Hardcore) as a level of difficulty it is the same as the Fanatic (Zealot) but has further limitations that make it even more difficult. It will not be possible to take advantage of the New Game +, so you will not be able to take advantage of the items earned in the first game. Also, in Hardcore mode, in addition to having a limited amount of energy and ammo there will only be 3 saves over the course of the entire Campaign! If you die then you may have to start over from a point sooooooo far away.

L'Hand Cannon is the prize for those who manage to complete the game in Hardcore mode: it is a very powerful weapon (a foam glove !!!) with infinite ammo. Using it you will hear Isaac shout and have fun like a child: "Bang, Bang, Bang" "Peew, Peew, Pew". Don't believe it? Here is a video showing the weapon in action
