Although it is often easy to adapt one's habits to all types of mice, the tech market nowadays offers sensational choices to say the least, whether we are talking aboutgaming field or less demanding products dedicated to more common uses. Clearly, being able to hit the mark in all targets with a single product is almost impossible, but the well-known tech company Corsair has decided to try it all the way, proposing a new gaming mouse meant to be versatile to the max, here is the main objective of the Corsair Katar Pro Wireless.
Clearly, when you try to satisfy a large number of needs, you risk sinning in the quality set for every minutiae, thus ending up in oblivion with a product that wants to please everyone but fails to satisfy anyone. The dual connectivity of the Corsair Katar Pro Wireless is really interesting
Although it is a mouse classified as "for gaming", a term sometimes abused to indicate the high quality of a product, the actual the new Corsair mouse wants to position itself in limbo between the needs of office mice and the use of peripherals in video games, leaning slightly towards the latter horizon. We are dealing with a product that is truly minimal in design, in which it is presented in the package - yellow and black as per Corsair tradition - along with one AA battery, the illustrative manual and the 2.4 GHz wireless dongle. As the name suggests, it is not possible to connect the Corsair Katar Pro Wireless to your machines via cable, but the company has decided to provide more possibilities in this area. In fact, you can choose whether to use the wireless connection through the aforementioned key, or operate the bluetooth connection through the underside of the device, in both cases the result is more than promoted thanks to a almost instant response time: you will forget in a few moments that you do not have any cables on your workstation (at least as regards the mouse). Another manually adjustable feature concerns the mode of use, which can point to better performance (for the gaming sector) or to less demanding uses, thanks to the power saving. In the latter case, the battery supplied by the company lasts approx 135 hours before running out. To change it, simply open the upper part of the product with ease and change it, placing a new one.
The Corsair Katar Pro Wireless is a perfectly symmetrical mouse, which thanks to its body and the battery placed in the exact center can be used in the same way both with the right hand and with the left, even if it is not clearly indicated specifically for the latter case. It weighs only 96 grams and its dimensions are perhaps a little too small, 115,8 cm x 64,2 cm x 37,8 cm. Use the excellent sensor optimal PWM3325, well 10.000 DPI. On the left side he proposes i two classic buttons to move forward or backward in different environments, or for example to set commands in video games, and offers a rather comfortable rubber wheel that can be pressed to provide further input, also in this case completely customizable.
Ready for the competition?
Corsair's iCUE software increases the potential of the product, but this is not very specific for gaming.
Thanks to Corsair's proprietary software, iCUE, the Corsair Katar Pro Wireless can in fact meet every need, even if there is not an excellent response in the field of RGB, located only at the button for the fast switch of the DPI. It is about one of the most complete programs in this area, and does nothing but further increase the quality of Corsair products, already successful in themselves in almost all cases. Nevertheless, the mouse cannot be considered perfect for the gaming world, as as already mentioned and as can be seen from its potential, it tries to satisfy every type of need without being specific to this area. Impossible to say that it fails in its task, but it is clear that it does not give its best in every case, and that therefore it offers its side in competitive gaming environments where additional features could make a difference. The pile that does not create counterweights is a nice touch, as well as the shell smooth on the front and slightly rough where the palm rests, therefore pleasant to the touch during the many hours of use.
