Given the huge success of the comics and the television adaptation on Prime Video di Amazon, in the past few days Dynamite Entertainment announced that G is working on a new series of comics dedicated to "The Boys", Entitled"Dear Becky". Collection, set 12 years after the series finale, will see the marriage between Hughie ed Annie (Starlight) in grave danger, following the appearance of a mysterious document that could reveal inconvenient truths about the Boys. We report below what was declared by Garth Ennis, writer and creator of the series, after the announcement of Dynamite Entertainment:
Initially I had no intention of continuing "The Boys", but for obvious reasons I found myself thinking about the story and the characters again in the last couple of years. There was one aspect of the original story line, and one character in particular that I wanted to dwell on: Becky Butcher, whose passing motivates her husband Billy to do terrible things, but who actually only appears in two issues of the original book. I enjoyed writing Becky almost as much as Butcher himself, and wanted to delve into how her relatively short appearance greatly affected the plot.
The new collection of comics dedicated to "The Boys: Dear Becky”Will be available in US comics starting in the month of April 2020.
