Let's go back to talking about the arrival of GALAX in Europe with the KFA2 GeForce RTX 2060 Super (1-Click-OC) V2 review, a less pushed version of the card we tested a few weeks ago. Link. But the lower frequencies translate into lower consumption, a lower price, a reduced thickness and a single 8-pin auxiliary connector as for the version with black fans and as the GeForce RTX 2060 Super reference.
Aesthetics, connectivity and lighting
Unlike the EX version, the KFA2 GeForce RTX 2060 Super (1-Click-OC) relies on a gray and black color, with geometric reliefs from a futuristic military vehicle to characterize the plastic armor. But that's not the only difference between the two cards. In fact, this model is thinner, even if the cover is still raised from the PCB in order to let the radiator disperse the air in all directions. The two transparent 90 mm fans do not change, even if in this case the lighting is white and not RGB, and the search for low noise does not change, another feature to be taken into account when evaluating a card that should enjoy a reduced price.
The first version, equipped with black fans, is on the market for less than 400 € and although a price increase is possible for the addition of the white backlight, we are talking about an almost identical model in terms of frequencies, armor, thin but elegant backplate and connectivity that includes an HDMI port, a DisplayPort and a DVI input, useful for taking advantage of older monitors but still functional.
Under the shell we find instead 8GB of memory at 14Gbps and a TU106-410-A1 GPU with 2176 CUDA core, higher than that of the smooth RTX 2060 and closer to that of the RTX 2070 thanks to the transition from 1920 to 2176 CUDA core. In addition, the RT cores, or those dedicated to acceleration of ray tracing, also increase, which go from 30 to 34, while the tensor cores, the hardware engine of the DLSS, go from 240 to 272. Among other things, the ROPs that pass from 48 to 64, the same as the GeForce RTX 2070 which finds itself closely followed by this intergenerational GPU that inevitably also consumes something more than the RTX 2060, reaching 175W. But the increase in consumption corresponds to an increase in frequencies that in this model take even a small step more, with the one-click-OC, which can be activated quickly thanks to the Xtreme Tuner Plus software, reaching 1485MHz di base e 1680MHz in boost, against the 1470MHz and the 1650MHz against the 1470 of the reference. But these values, we know, are punctually exceeded thanks to the software that pushes the NVIDIA cards to the maximum of the hardware capabilities, without exceeding consumption and temperatures. And it is a dynamic that in the case of the KFA 2 GeForce RTX 2060 SUPER 1-Click-OC puts us in front of a card capable of working at around 1800MHz without overclocking and without the cooling being noisy. On the other hand, it is one of the strengths of this series which also includes the zero decibel mode, keeping the fans completely still below a certain temperature.
Performance, overclocking and temperatures
As we said, the card it works at about 1800MHz resulting rather silent while, on a configuration composed of Ryzen 7 3700X with 16GB of Corsair Vengeance RGB PRO memory at 3200MHz and ASUS TUF Gaming, it pushes Mechwarrior 5 at 79fps in 1080 and 61 in 1440p, RAGE 2 at 115fps in 1080p and 72 in 1440p , Metro Exodus at 73fps in 1080p and 57fps in 1440p, Shadow of the Tomb Raider at 92fps in 1080p and 70fps in 1440p and The Witcher 3 aa 108fps in 1080p and 74fps in 1440p, turning around 70 degrees of temperature. It therefore turns out to be quite cool, despite the 27 degrees of ambient temperature, while offering performance just 3 percentage points lower than the EX version.
Not to forget the DLSS 2.0 upscaling that in Mechwarrior 5 guarantees a marginal gain in 1080p, but accelerates to 1440p, bringing the count of frames per second from 61 to 79, and roars in 4K, allowing you to play at 56fps with a card that in the version already available with black fans, less flashy and presumably slightly less expensive, costs 400 euros. Sure, the titles that enjoy DLSS 2.0 are a handful, but support is growing and the list includes gauges such as Control, Wolfenstein Youngblood and the excellent PC conversion of Death Stranding not counting, in the future, the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077. .
Among other things, the DLSS, even if in this case limited to the first and still unripe version, allows you to play Metro Exodus at 59fps in 1080p, guaranteeing decidedly more realistic and suggestive shadows that improve the rendering of the amazing models of the characters and some structures. Also, as the icing on the cake, there is the 1-click-OC mode that allows you to hit 60fps even with the heavy first-person shooter of 4A Games and without the need to waste time on complicated procedures. To activate it, in fact, just one click, as promised, within the dedicated software that works with the NVIDIA drivers pushes the card up to 1860MHz, keeping them almost constantly. Enough to hit 111fps in The Witcher 3, in 1080p of course, with a gain of nearly three percentage points. In this case, however, the temperature rises, slowly but steadily, until, after 80 degrees, the performance begins to drop. But raising the fan speed at 80% the temperature returns to 70 degrees, oscillating at most up to 75 degrees, and allows you to play games without problems and, it must be said, even without headphones. The noise, mind you, increases significantly, but as in the case of other well-built models of similar range it remains contained, confirming the goodness of the cooling of this series.

The KFA2 GeForce RTX 2060 Super (1-Click-OC) V2 confirms what has been seen with the most advanced model, fielding a silent dissipation, discrete performance and a pretty good aesthetic for a model that is economical, with a price of 400 euro for the first version with black fans, which should also be similar for this model.
