How do you restart Fortnite
If you are wondering how to restart Fortnite, you should know that the procedures for doing this are different depending on the platform on which you are running the game. Below you will find all the relevant information.
How to restart Fortnite on PS4
Doubt about how to get back into Fortnite after the game is over bloccato, usually due to server problems or bugs of various kinds, mainly affects those who play on consoles.
As the consoles of platforms are more "closed" than PCs, they offer less freedom of action to the user, who could therefore find himself unprepared for the need to close a blocked game to restart it.
If you find yourself in this situation too, don't worry: you can do everything in a very simple way. For example, if you have a PlayStation 4, in case the game stops responding, just press the button PS of the controller (the one in the lower center) to return to the main menu of the console.
Once this is done, to be able to restart Fortnite correctly, positioned above the game box, premium pulsating Options of the controller and use the key X of the pad first above the voice Close application and later on that OK. By doing this, you will have "removed" the locked game instance.
If this procedure does not work and theprohibition icon (which is usually present during loading), press and hold the PS button of the controller and select the option first from the quick menu that is proposed to you Close application and later that OK.
Now you are probably wondering how to start fortnite on ps4 once closed. Well, nothing changes from the usual: once the game instance is closed, just press the button X of the controller above Fortnite box, present in the main console menu, and you will see that the title will start normally.
If everything was done correctly, the Epic Games title will work properly again (although you may have lost some unsaved progress before the crash). If not, you could try restart the console. To do this, just turn it off and on again: if you don't know how to do this, I recommend that you consult my tutorial on how to turn off the PS4.
With regard to other consoles for which the Epic Games title is available, that is Xbox One e Nintendo Switch, the procedure is the same: close the game and start it again. However, the steps to take clearly change.
Starting from the Microsoft console, just press the button Xbox controller, select the game, use the key Menu of the pad and press on the option Logout. After that, all you have to do is open it again Fortnite. For more details, I recommend that you consult Microsoft's official guidelines.
To close the game on Nintendo Switch, you have to press the button instead HOMEselect Fortnite, use the key X and select the option Close. Then, just click on the box starts to return to play the Epic Games title. If you have any doubts regarding this procedure, you can refer to the official Nintendo website.
How to restart Fortnite on PC
Su PC, the options to restart Fortnite multiply, given that it is a more "open" system than consoles.
Fortnite is heavily played on Windows, so I'll start from this platform. Well, the simplest and at the same time functional method to restart a game stuck on Microsoft's operating system is to press the key combination Ctrl + Alt + Canc, click on the item Activity managementselect Fortnite e premere sul pulsating End activity.
Alternatively, you can try the classic combination Alt + F4 while the game is open, in order to attempt to close it normally. However, sometimes this solution does not work and you need to try the above procedure or press the key X present at the top right (if the game is in a window).
For MacOS, if the classic procedures through menu bar, that is, the use of voices Fortnite> Esci da Fortnite, and key combination cmd + q do not work, then you could try to force the Epic Games title to close.
To do this, just press on Apple logo present at the top left, select the item Forced exit from the menu that opens, press on Fortnite and click on the button Forced exit, then confirming the closure of the game.
For the rest, in case you have not yet managed to solve the problem, I suggest you consult my guide on how to force the closure of a blocked program, in which I have explained everything there is to know both regarding Windows and for what concerns macOS.
Obviously, once the game is closed, you can go back to playing it by starting it as always, or by pressing on thefortnite icon. In some cases, you may need to restart your PC or restart your Mac.
How to restart Fortnite on mobile devices
Fortnite is a title also appreciated by those who usually play on the go and, in fact, there are many people who have decided to install it on their smartphone / tablet.
Well, in this case restarting the game is very simple. On Android just bring up, with one swipe from below, the classic three button bar, press the key Recent (square icon) and close the application, usually by pressing the icon X or by making one scroll up on its frame.
In case you have a device with gesture active, you may need to make one prolonged swipe from bottom to top, to open the screen Recent and being able to close Fortnite from the latter.
For iPhone, if you have a model with Face ID, you have to drag your finger from the bottom to the center of the screen, hold briefly and close the app directly from the switcher. If, on the other hand, you have a iPhone with Home button, you have to press twice on the latter, in order to activate the app switcher, and close Fortnite with one swipe. On iPad both of these modes are supported (clearly, the one that involves the use of the Home button is only available on iPad with this button).
For all the details of the case, both for Android devices and for iPhones and iPads, I suggest you take a look at my tutorial on how to close open applications.
For the rest, to start Fortnite again, simply press on thegame icon. In short, I would say that now you know everything there is to know on the subject and you can go back to playing the Epic Games title.
